The Seductive Rival

Harlequin is the tritagonist and the youngest of the five circus members. He treats the competition for the protagonist as a game he intends to win by being more interesting than Pierrot, and he is genuinely dangerous while doing it. He is also, oddly, the character who gives the player the most direct information about the circus's past — his Day 1 telling of Columbina's death is one of the few places the game states outright what these people are.

Appearance
Curly black hair to the cheeks, with two locks on the left of his forehead curling inward into a heart. A white mask with upturned eyeholes, a green diamond through the left eye and a green downward triangle under the right; the smile is a hole showing his own teeth. Green and black hood with two belled liripipes, a black cape with gold lining bearing a heart on each side, a green tunic with a gold central panel, and mismatched gloves and boots that swap the green and black between left and right.
Personality
Carefree on the surface, sadistic and teasing underneath. He frames everything as play, including the parts that involve knives, and enjoys watching Pierrot lose composure more than he enjoys almost anything else.
